They wouldn’t. If people would want to see it they could vote for a party that taxes the billionaires. Schools, hospitals and housing could be built right now.

Thinking about it, UBI will drive the prices of housing down because people don’t have to live where work is available. Companies have to offer cheap housing or people will live elsewhere.

Free education was a tool to move most of the intelligent workers into white collar roles. Neoliberalism was possible because too few intelligent people were left to organize an opposition.

A surplus in the housing market is needed.

Viral trends need to work for the majority of people or they cannot spread. Has the majority enough critical thinking capacity to turn it into an ability?

Maybe start with creating a place where people with empathy and critical thinking abilities can meet.
