Liberal House leader Steve MacKinnon signalled Tuesday that he’s concerned the government’s budget might not get support from the opposition benches, while at the same time dismissing some demands other parties have laid out.

On Monday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre penned a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney saying he wants to see an “affordable budget” that includes broad tax cuts and keeping the deficit under $42 billion.

Meanwhile, the Bloc Québécois has said they have six key priorities for the budget including: an increase to the federal health transfer to the provinces, new infrastructure investments, an expansion of the rapid housing initiative, interest-free loans for first-time homebuyers and boosting Old Age Security (OAS) payments for those ages 65 to 75.

yea, no, your unreasonable love for Harper came through very clearly. Its easy to keep a positive budget when you let the country rot from underneath you.

Thanks for not addressing any of my points though!

Have you looked around Canada in the last DECADE? Canada is completely Rotten and BROKEN with no housing, people living in tents everywhere. Immigration is out of CONTROL we are now a Third World Shit Hole. Violent Crime Has Gone Up and is out of control.

I mean, yeah, I live here, and I actually look around instead of just watching TV. Things aren’t perfect, but I’m still damn glad to live here instead of the U.S.

Also funny timing: immigration’s at its lowest level in a decade, to the point it looks like we may have negative population growth, and now you decide it’s “out of control.”

You might want to get your information from something other than headlines.

I mean, yes, its objectively lower, but you can use data with a cutoff date from before Carney if you wanna spread out of date, and intentionally misleading data. That’s cool too, I guess.

I couldn’t sleep well at night if I did that, but you live your life.

I mean, yes, its objectively lower? but you can keep using out of date information if you want to propagate lies, I guess. That’s cool too.
