Oh, thank God. Can’t wait for him to get deported to Sudan, or some shit.
Oh, thank God. Can’t wait for him to get deported to Sudan, or some shit.
Wow. That’s probably the stupidest article I’ve read in a while. Was this written before or after they passed that massive infrastructure bill that basically greenlights everything she says the federal government is not going to do? Everything she’s complaining about, are all the exact things that Carney campaigned on getting done. He’s been talking about doing ALL this shit, for months now, and has backed it up with legisaltion.
Like, what the actual fuck is she even talking about, at this point?
“Alligator Auschwitz”.
Regardless, if Carney doesn’t break this unambiguous election promise, that’s not a cause for celebration or congratulations. He could’ve passed a bill to protect supply management - was asked directly to do so - and he intentionally didn’t do it.
Then what’s this.
Don’t hold your breath. There are none.
I don’t think you follow Canadian politics very closely.
This is NOT what people voted for. Fuck Carney.
1st of all…18% is not a lot of support.
2nd of all…as long as she keeps pushing this idea, there is literally ZERO incentive for the Federal government to invest in any infrastructure projects that include Alberta. That means no new pipelines. No new housing investments. Why would they dump potentially tens of billions of dollars into a province that is actively threatening to cut itself off from the rest of the country? It would be pointless.
Unfortunately, in Canada it has little to do with Carney himself, and more to do with keeping the Conservatives out of office. In my riding, it was either vote Liberal or let the Conservatives have the seat.
I have a feeling this will be the last time the Liberals are going to be in power for a long time. Trudeau was bad enough…but this is worse.
I completely agree. But, try telling that to them.
One guy I work with was dancing around praising Trump’s name, when he heard they joined in on the bombing. He’s gay, and originally fled the country to avoid being forced to have a sex change. Dude would love nothing more than to see Israel assassinate every single one of Iran’s religious leaders.
I don’t know, man. A lot of Iranians in Canada have no love for the government there…I don’t personally know any that do. Most of them have no illusions about the potential collateral damages, but see it as the only way to free Iran from the current regime.
I’m confused. Does she want him to stop with his plans to expand extraction and exports?
They can try all they want. If it violates the Charter, it will never get past the debate stage before getting scrapped. There’s no point in passing legislation that will just get thrown out the first time it goes to court.
You don’t have to worry. There are already legal advocacy groups preparing to challenge it. It will never make it to a vote.
If it violates the Canadian Charter, then it won’t pass the debate stage, which means it won’t even make it to a vote.
This will never pass.
There’s also a certain element of “You can’t tell me what to do!”…followed by doing something incredibly stupid and self-destructive, just to “own the Libs”.
This is yet another astroturfed conservative movement. This whole topic is only supported by a very small number of people, yet it’s being amplified in the media in order to make it seem like a big deal. It isn’t.
Like eliminating poverty by lowering the “poverty line”.
