I’m a big fan of debian (with their netinstaller) for stuff like this, it allows you to pick the desktops you want to install during the install process and it does everything else for you
before you actually commit though, you should test the distros you’re interested in in a vm to get a gist for how it works
this is actually so insanely epic, good job!
pretty cool of the principal too to allow you to do stuff like this
distros don’t really matter in this case, the hardware I was using was simply not supported by the kernel
“fine” if you don’t need sleep states or wifi/bt
are you on a distro that uses an LTS version of firefox Ubuntu as a base?
if so, try installing Firefox ESR
i think unity expects the newest version of ff to be installed and bugs out otherwise
i think it’s a pretty recent phone wrt the pmos standards
is this issues with encode/decode? it was finicky to set up on my nvidia setup as well, and getting Firefox to work with it was another nightmare
I think Ubuntu has a lot of influence in industry
I think the biggest thing about itunes is that it can be used to write music to iphones and do OS restores, I couldn’t get the usb functionality to work with wine so I just use it in a vm personally
the deGPLification of the Linux ecosystem ffs
there should be a keepass+syncthing package available for normal people to use, i put keepass and syncthing on all my devices and that means I don’t have to host a server while always having my password vault synced
make it as easy for yourself to reinstall as possible
yeah because half of them are 1234
that just depends on how comfortable the instance owner is, if i was hosting I’d ip block the UK
tbh if the government demanded fediverse servers do this then they’ll probably comply as well, I really don’t think this is apple’s fault as much as i hate them and every similar tech megacorps
friday night funkin is surprisingly apache
