I don’t think so… why would that happen?

That’s my point though, we need to attack the real enemy which is the rich and powerful.
I had a feeling people would bring this up. But was the problem with Epstein that people feel too warmly towards pedophiles? Or is it that we let the rich and powerful get away with almost anything?
If Epstein was just some random pauper victimizing people he would have gone to jail much sooner.
And, Epstein is actually being used as a political tool right now. I think that use happens to be appropriate in this specific case but the broader pattern is not as benign.
Curious how much hate I’ll get for saying this but I unironically think we should stop attacking pedophiles. They’re a tiny problem, already widely hated and illegal so there’s no need to express any additional feelings about them. And the intense anger and hatred cultivated around them is mainly just a weapon powerful people use to manipulate us.
I feel like media literacy is more useful for preventing this crap than a scientific education would be, though both help to some degree.
OK I guess. It takes a while for them to recover from this though. It’s not just right after they’re cut. There will be several seasons of diminished bloom and health.
I find an uncut crape with no leaves to be one of the most attractive seasons for them, personally.
Doesn’t matter when it’s done. It’s bad for the tree.
True. Most rosaceae are already hardy but maybe hardier peaches or almonds could be worthwhile.
Very interesting. I wonder if this approach could be used with other tropical fruits. Though one would need to identify a graft-compatible species with notable frost hardiness.
I’m not sure on the graft compatibility but Diospyros and Persea both have temperate and tropical species and edible fruit. Ficus could be another although the most edible one is the hardiest in that genus.
Morus is another although there is minimal difference in fruit quality between species from what I’ve seen.
Sounds fun.
I haven’t experienced this either but I’m privileged and have only interacted with this community a little bit. So I was curious if anyone had had such experiences.
Is the mycology community bigoted? Lots of weirdos so I would have guessed they might be more tolerant but I guess it does skew kind of older.
But eating wild carrots is fun. I recommend eating wild carrot but not eating hemlock. That’s worked well for me so far.
I expected this and I am willing to accept the abuse to make what I feel is an important point about how we’re being manipulated.
Frankly, I am shocked only one person has chimed in with this type of comment so far.
