We had our alternator changed at Canadian Tire before a trip across Canada. A couple of days into the trip and all the dash lights came on, though dimly, and the car cut out. Right when we were looking at a couple of wolves on the side of the highway. We brought the car to some dedicated car repair place. Their guy comes out,v shaking his head and cursing Canadian Tire. Turns out that the Canadian Tire mechanic probably tightened our alternator by hand when we said it would be a cross country trip.

Residential School Denialism is one of the reasons Indigenous people feel so helpless - because their generational struggles with it make them feel less-than-human; the violence and the destruction of culture was forced upon them, en masse. Hearing people say that it didn’t happen insults and belittles their suffering.
