No the bios chip is a bit much. As for the drive, even though there’s software to check age and wear, you don’t know what it has been through so when buying used it’d be better to stay alert.

I didn’t play much, but I remember I had stationed the strongest warriors near the entrance so anyone invading would be gunned down or chased everywhere.

The realer problem is more probably the bosses and directors etc. breathing on the devs’ necks and pushing for release, not letting them cook a good system that uses well any amount of memory.
