If this is French, I must be illiterate!
That’s an awesome tool, thank you!
How can I easily check the poll results for my riding?
Who I vote for entirely depends on what the poll results are, voting for a party that is entirely unpopular in my riding would throw away my vote, but if, say, NDP has a chance, I’ll vote for them.
That makes sense!
I think you got downvoted because your original comment made it sound like you were singling out this post for linking to a French article, but I agree we should tag all posts with the appropriate language, English or French.
As a bilingual instance, I think mandatory labeling of post language should be considered.
I don’t disagree with you on that, it could have been better worded.
Sunshine simply took a speech shortcut by referencing first nations, which remote areas with polar bears are mostly populated by, but anyone living there would need a rifle to deal with the wildlife.
Should we label links to English articles with the “English” language?
Do you think polar bears take “no” for an answer?
I’ve been to Churchill, MB. People there have guns to fend off polar bears. A polar bear WILL maul you if you do not fire first. We were not allowed in some areas of the territory unarmed.
Ouch, how did this happen, and why have patches sat unreviewed?
Indeed. It’s important to remember that people are not evil for voting against their own interests.
Do not attribute to malice what can more easily be attributed to stupidity lack of knowledge, i.e. propaganda.
Re-read my reply. Your answer is in there.
Your post is:

You have made a generic statement with a very generic, generated image. You have not contributed anything to this community.
On top of that, there are valid ethical concerns regarding AI image generation, specifically about the training data being stolen content with no attribution or compensation with no regards for licensing, and the technology being used to put artists out of work in favour of cheap-looking, uncanny valley pictures.
LLMs can be trained ethically (though the vast majority aren’t), but it’s most likely impossible to ethically train text to image models due to the large amount of data required.
Additionally, commercially run AI models waste an enormous amount of power, and all money invested into these models goes directly into the pockets of American giants and their wealthy owners.
While I don’t disagree with the essence of your point, keep in mind that “no true Scotsman” is a common thought fallacy, in this case, “no true patriot or nationalist”. You can’t speak for everyone.
Patriotism is a complex topic, but I think we can all agree that, for example, companies weaseling themselves into the Canadian market under the guise of patriotism is not okay. Intention matters.
