2 months agoI typically try to not be logged in as the user whose home directory is being copied when I do this just to avoid any collisions. Otherwise this looks right.

You are not logged in. If you use a Fediverse account that is able to follow users, you can follow this user.
Even then, nothing stops the client from lying to the server.
