They probably knew… But the prison/military industrial complex incentivizes crime, as it perpetuates poverty. And more poverty means more people arewilling to work for less money. Cheaper labor equals higher profits.

So basically, capitalism goes brrrr.

Canada just needs to ban the word ‘climate’ from all gov documents and programs. Then and the problem goes away!
