Yeah i understand that point. We have to however see that the “moderate” or “centrist” is indeed simply still ignorant and can be educated. Which is hard because they see themselves as educated and they also don’t want to care.
Racist Zionists however are directly working to defend Israels genocide, oppression and apartheid in order to prolong the existance of the regime as long as they can. They do this in media, social media and in politics.
So while i see why one could “respect” their real effort (in comparison to a lack of effort on the side of “moderates”), i absolutely deny people any respect for the simple fact that most of these are not only hateful, racist bigots but they also often have economic incentives to do Israels dirty work.
Again i do understand but in my views the pro-zionists are not a completely lost bunch. I say this because i have made great progress with my mom, having turned her into a critic. I wish i could ignite the spark of solidarity but that remains to be seen. Another friend, while not really pro-zionist, was regurgitating zionist propaganda (“from the river to the sea, palestine shall be free” is calling for the genocide of jews) but he was willing to be challenged on that.
So yes, i understand the anger that people are ignorant fools and thus tools but most people have been at some point in their lives and it is thanks to outside influence that we have been woken up.
