“Take for granted” is the expression, granted being something that does not need to be proved, to the extent it is a point given freely in a discussion or debate.

An American, I wasn’t brought up to understand the divide between Alberta and some of the more visible parts of Canadian culture, economy or politics. I’ve been puzzling learning more about Alberta, their ascendent conservatism extremism over the last 5 years and trying to understand the sudden change. This brief article made me realize the “Texas” psychosis goes back decades and has laid the groundwork and produced the same sort of wealthy, entitled, selfish brood in Alberta that the US failed to stop spreading.

We’re already at 1, which means it’s time for 2. They’re starting the the Columbia universities of the country but it’ll be down to state and local levels after that. Companies of course will say and do nothing as the Spice must flow.

While allowing the right to direct the narrative that tiny, poor individuals not paying taxes anymore is the cause of unbalanced budgets rather than military waste, medical murder, and corporations and the ultra wealthy paying close to no taxes while having all the money.

Trump has no wealth, he’s not pulling strings. He’s an until recently bankrupt felon delivery boy. Elon may be the closest thing to the incarnation of unfettered power lust, greed and hatred we’ve seen in awhile, but Elon didn’t put together project 2025. He’s just a rich prick on a joyride hurting people, and now he gets the personal bonus of living out his apartheid fantasy.

The real elites are heritage foundation and their enormously wealthy backers and network.

Short term good, but he or Trump or whoever are symptoms. Gotta go deeper.

Suggest you send a new statue of liberté, they’ll open it and return it because they won’t be able to work out what it means.
