Now that they do, they want nothing to do with his antics. And now, to win over people, he’s going even deeper in attacks and antics. More slogans. He’s terrible at this.

My guess is that O’Toole would be the front runner if the Cons didn’t dump the baby with the bathwater. A veteran, fighting for Canada? He’d have been the candidate for the moment, no extra anti LGBT crap, no checkered past with crappy voting choices.

I remember when O’Toole first became Conservative leader, one of his first speeches was about how while Trudeau was at a fundraiser, he was in the House of Representatives voting on gay rights. That left an impression on me.
